[Iterative excision].
Abstract
Iterative excision is a simple method which consists in reducing the surface of a skin lesion in several surgical stages before total removal. The surrounding healthy skin loosens in the time between each stage, making it possible to perform excisions with simple closures and thus reduce the final scar. Care must be taken to avoid deforming the neighboring structures. This technique is principally used for the face in children.
