Refinement of the "reverse-U" incision for the repair of cleft lip nose deformity.
Abstract
Modifications of the reverse-U operation of Tajima are described which remove the "plica vestibularis" and prevent recurrence of the nasal deformity by adding lining tissue to the deformed nasal cavity. Good results have been achieved in both primary repair in infants and secondary repair.
