Fasciotomy and Z-plasty in the management of Dupuytren's contracture.
Abstract
The technique of fasciotomy and Z-plasty for the management of Dupuytren's contracture is described. The results of its use in a series of nine patients is presented. It is suggested that this method is applicable to the patient whose disease is confined to a single ray in the palm. None of the patients studied required re-operation during the period of follow-up which ranged from 2 years 4 months to 5 years 6 months.
