Although generally effective, the inverted T inferior pedicle breast reduction technique is associated with continuing concerns over cutaneous scar as well as shape distortion, which can to worsen over time. This article will outline a technique of breast reduction that is also based on an inferior pedicle but manages the skin envelope with a combined periareolar and vertical skin excision.
