Buccal Fat Pad Modification in Deep Plane Facelift: Technical and Facial Nerve Considerations.
Abstract
Buccal fat pad (BFP) modification can help aesthetic facial balancing. It can be approached through an intraoral incision, which is more standard, or through a deep-plane facelift approach. Here, we describe the unique technique of removal and repositioning of the BFP through a deep-plane facelift approach with clinical pearls for safe manipulation around the facial nerve and redistribution techniques for facial volume.
