Avoiding patient dissatisfaction and complications in facelift surgery.
Abstract
Facelift is the cornerstone procedure for the rejuvenation of the aging face. This procedure aims to improve the appearance of the lower two thirds of the face and neck. As with all surgical procedures, facelift is associated with certain risks and benefits. This article describes the sources of patient dissatisfaction and the avoidance and management of complications related to facelift surgery. A clinically oriented comprehensive review of the assessment and management of complications encountered during facelift surgery of the lower two thirds of the face and neck is presented.
