【연구 목적】 실리콘 및 파라핀 유방 주입술을 시행한 환자에서 이물질에 의한 과격한 육아종 반응이 유방암의 진단을 방해하는 사례를 보고하며, 파라핀이 유방암 발생의 원인 물질일 가능성을 제시한다.

Abstract
Two patients are presented whose breasts were injected directly or indirectly with paraffin and silicone, respectively. Both patients had breast cancer that was obscured by the overwhelming granulomatous resection produced by both these foreign substances. It is suggested that paraffin could have been a causative agent in the development of cancer. The role of injected silicone in breast cancer is questionable.
